The Ranieri Suite takes its name from Cardinal Teodorico Ranieri (1235 - 1306), Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church and Captain General of the Province of the Heritage in 1300, who had the building of the same name built with a medieval tower adjacent to the Hotel Palazzo Piccolomini.
The bedroom is characterized by a splendid view of the church of San Giovanni Evangelista, one of the oldest in Orvieto which, like many churches on the cliff, seems to have been built on several pre-existing levels, each of these belonging to different eras.
In addition to the suggestive views, the Ranieri suite boasts refined furnishings and a mezzanine with a spiral staircase that can accommodate an additional bed. The modern bathroom also features a comfortable designer jacuzzi.
